Focus and Scope

The International Journal of Arts and Liberal Inquiry (IJALI), abbreviated as Int. J. Arts Lib. Inq., is a multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed platform committed to the advancement of critical scholarship across the Humanities, Social Sciences, and Liberal Arts. Our core mission is to bridge the gap between traditional academic disciplines and contemporary global issues, fostering a rich intellectual dialogue.

We welcome original contributions that challenge established paradigms and contribute to a deeper, more nuanced understanding of the human condition in our rapidly evolving world.

Key Areas of Interest Include:

  • Humanities & Cultural Studies: Critical theory, media studies, gender studies, post-colonial studies, and global culture.

  • Social Sciences & Public Policy: Sociology, political science, economics (non-quantitative focus), international relations, and public administration.

  • Philosophy & Ethics: Metaphysics, epistemology, applied ethics, social and political philosophy, and aesthetics.

  • Literature & Creative Arts: Literary criticism, comparative literature, creative writing research, art history, and performance studies.

  • History & Anthropology: Intellectual history, global history, oral history, and socio-cultural anthropology.

Open Access Policy

IJALI is an open-access journal. This means that all content is made freely available without charge to the user or their institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. 

  • No Article Processing Charges (APCs): IJALI currently does not charge any fees for manuscript submission or processing. This is sustained through our institutional sponsorship.

In order to ensure the widest possible dissemination and impact, all articles are published under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
