In our intellectual property law system, a decade-old dispute over similar or identical trademarks owned by two different companies or individuals is still pending, as is a new controversy that has erupted in the minds of legal scholars and law researchers, and there are numerous applications for registration of similar or identical trademarks owned by two different proprietors.
