Abstract

4-Phenylthiazol-2-amine is synthesized by 2-bromo-1-phenyletanone and thiourea. The structure of synthesized compound was also established using FTIR, UV-Vis and 1H-NMR spectral techniques. The title compound was also tested for antimicrobial activity against Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtilis and Staphylococcus aureus and fungus Candida albican, Aspergillus niger and Candida krusei.
